Aer Lingus Signs SAF Deal with Gevo

Aer Lingus has signed an agreement with sustainable aviation fuel manufacturer Gevo in which the airline has committed to purchase 6.3 million gallons of SAF per year for five years, beginning in 2026, Gevo announced Wednesday. The expected value of the agreement is about $173 million, according to the company. Aer Lingus, as part of International Airlines Group, has pledged to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and has committed to powering 10 percent of its flights with SAF by 2030.
