KLM to Offer New Premium-Economy Cabin

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will launch a new premium-economy cabin class on North American routes, with bookings beginning in late July, the company announced Friday. Depending on the aircraft type, Premium Comfort class capacity will vary between 21 and 28 seats.

The new cabin will offer wider seats, more legroom, more recline and a larger screen than what will be available in Economy class and will be priced lower than the carrier’s World Business Class cabin. Premium Comfort seats will also include a footrest.

Premium Comfort ticket holders also will be allowed more “flexible baggage arrangements” and SkyPriority privileges, including preferential check-in and boarding.
