NH Hotel Group has officially joined the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), and has migrated its loyalty scheme over to the GHA Discovery programme.
Previously known as NH Rewards, the group’s loyalty program will go by the name NH Discovery going forward.
In a statement NH Hotel Group said that loyalty members would be able to “fully leverage the recently reimagined GHA Discovery programme”, while at the same time retaining their current points and benefits including up to 10 per cent of stays and five Discovery Dollars per booking.
NH Hotel Group is by far the biggest brand to join GHA in recent times, adding over 350 properties in 30 countries to the GHA portfolio, which now stands at around 800 hotels across 40 brands.
NH was bought by Minor Hotels in 2018and Minor’s other subsidiary brands including Anantara, Avani, Elewana Collection, Oaks and Tivoli are already GHA members.
Commenting on the news Ramon Aragones, CEO of NH Hotel Group and a GHA board member, said:
“Joining GHA and the transformation of NH Rewards into NH Discovery marks a major milestone for NH Hotel Group and our guests at a time when the travel and hospitality sector is recovering at pace, as the encouraging turnaround in our Q1 results prove.
“This paves the way for growth, and by leveraging GHA’s geographical footprint we can accelerate planned development in new markets where demand for our brands is strong.
“At the same time, with the new NH Discovery, we have access to incremental revenue streams, while offering our own loyal guests’ remarkable choice.”
New members of The Club by Business Traveler benefit from a year’s free Platinum GHA Discovery membership.
